Reception - Lent A Term
Hello Year 3
During our zoom meeting we will talk about our feelings about returning to school and come up with ways that we can prepare ourselves. In English this week, we are continuing to write our narrative of Three by the Sea. We will begin the week by exploring the characters and the ways we can show their emotions during the climax, as well as writing our climax, with a focus on using the speech sandwich. We will then be writing a persuasive letter from the Winds of Change. This week’s history tells the exciting tale of the power struggle between the Henry VI and his Yorkist cousin Edward IV.
In Geography this week, we will be exploring the coastal areas of the South West of England and how erosion has played a big part in the formation of the coastline.
This week Mrs Wordsmith has prepared for you to explore smell words. You will have a choice at the end of today's lesson to complete a worksheet or play a game with someone if you can. Why not challenge yourselves and have a go at both? Just like Mrs Wordsmith... The possibilities are endless.
This week in PSHE we will be looking at volunteers, how they have helped within our communities and will be creating a poster to show our appreciation. Think of ways YOU can volunteer to help make a difference in your own homes this week.
Keep up the good work, have fun and keep safe!
